Tigers Score Homecoming Victory Over Mineola 42-21         The Mount Vernon Tiger football team played well on both sides of the football while overpowering the Mineola YellowJackets 42-21 Friday night. The Tigers held a 27-point third quarter lead before Mineola managed to cross the goal line for the first time in the game.  Securing a nod from this week's Tyler Courier-Times-Telegraph's "HS Football: East Texas Honor Roll" were the following: All-Around: Kellan Carrell - The quarterback finished 14-of-19 for 170 yards and three touchdowns, plus had 13 carries for 75 yards and a touchdown. On defense, he intercepted two passes. Offense: Colton Keener - The Tigers receiver had seven catches for 100 yards and two TDs, plus finished with three carries for 34 yards and a score.
