Tiger Band Attends UIL Region Marching Contest                       The MVHS Tiger Band attended the UIL Region IV Marching Band Contest on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Sam Parker Field in Mt. Pleasant. The Tiger Band received an overall second division rating.             Some comments from the judges on the band’s performance include, “Good overall execution!”, “Very good individual marchers”, and “Marching shows fine discipline.  Minimal errors!”.              This year’s Tiger Band show features selections from “Batman”, including The Batman Theme from the motion picture “Batman”, the Batman theme from the original television series, and Batmobile Chase from the motion picture “Batman Begins”.             The Tiger Band’s next performances after football season will be at the annual Mt. Vernon Christmas Parade on December 5th, and at their annual Christmas concert on Tuesday, December 8th at 6:30 P.M. in the high school auditorium.  Admission is free and the public is invited.
