Mount Vernon ISD Mission

The Mount Vernon Independent School District, in partnership with the community, is to educate all students in a secure and nurturing environment so they will:

Campus Facilities

Elementary built in 1965; has had three additions; approximately 48,300 square feet
Intermediate built in 1965 as a JH; has had two additions; approximately 48,720 square feet
Junior High built in 1965 as a HS; approximately 16,200 sq. feet
High School built in 1985; completing one addition; approximately 44,960 square feet
Approximately 35 acres of district grounds
